Samsung telah mengumumkan bahawa Samsung Galaxy S4 yang baru dilancarkan, kini telah pun mencapai 10 juta unit hanya dalam masa sebulan. Berbanding Samsung Galaxy S3 memerlukan masa selama 50 hari untuk mencapai unit yang sama.

Pihak Samsung juga menyatakan bahawa Samsung Galaxy S4 akan hadir dengan warna yang baru iaitu "Purple Mirage" dan "Brown Autumn".

Samsung will soon release its first Android tablet based on an Intel Atom processor, according to a source familiar with the plan, in what would be a vote of confidence for Intel chips in mobile devices.

The tablet, a Galaxy Tab 3, will have a 10.1-inch display and run on a version of Intel’s Atom chip known as Clover Trail+, the source said. Samsung hasn’t announced such a product, but a Galaxy tablet running Android 4.2 appeared on several benchmark websites this month, sparking rumors of its existence.

According to the GFXBenchmark site, the tablet’s display will have a screen resolution of 1280 by 800 pixels.

A Samsung spokeswoman declined to comment, saying the product hasn’t been announced. No release data was available.

The Galaxy Tab 3 10.1 will succeed the Galaxy Tab 2 10.1, which was based on a dual-core ARM processor. ARM-based chips are widely used in smartphones and tablets, areas where Intel has struggled to find a strong footing.

Late last month, Samsung announced a 7-inch Galaxy Tab 3 that runs on a dual-core ARM processor with a clock speed of 1.2GHz. The 10.1-inch tablet will use Intel’s Atom Z2560 chip, which has a clock speed of 1.6GHz, according to the source.

It would be a big design win for Intel, whose chips are used in 15 tablets, most of them running Windows 8, which has not been a big success. Intel has been working hard to reduce the power consumption and improve the performance of its Atom chips with the goal of making up some ground on ARM.

Clover Trail+ was designed primarily for smartphones and is used in products such as Lenovo’s K900 phone, which started shipping in China this month. Later this year Intel is due to release new Atom chips for tablets, code-named Bay Trail, which should be faster and more power efficient than the current offerings.

Samsung also makes its own Exynos chips, which are based on ARM processor designs. The Exynos 5 dual-core and eight-core chips, based on ARM’s Cortex-A15, are used in Samsung’s Galaxy S4 smartphone, its Chromebook and the Nexus 10 tablet that it built with Google.

While there is now a new model available the Samsung Galaxy S3 remains extremely popular around the world and in a few weeks time it should be treated to some nice new features via the Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean update, which has now been leaked and shown off in a demo video.
There are already a variety of custom ROMs available for the Galaxy S3 that allows owners of the device to get an early chance to use the later firmware, as officially the handset is currently on Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean.
Now the guys over at SamMobile has given owners of the handset a sneak preview in what the new firmware will bring to the handset once released officially via a video you can see below. The official software is still being tested by Samsung with a release expected sometime next month, and it’s not known if the 4.2.2 update will bring the Galaxy S4 camera features to the device or if owners will have to wait for 4.3 Android.

Some of the new features coming to the device with the 4.2.2 Jelly Bean update include the new S4 lockscreen, ability to change clock size, new screen modes from the S4, Daydream, Driving mode, more options in Notification Center, Full screen Samsung apps, new Galaxy S4 voice controls, and much more.
There is also the opportunity for owners of the handset to flash a version of this software to their Galaxy S3, but it is only done at your own risk and is available via SamMobile. Most users will be waiting until the official software is rolled out though, although as we always see with Android updates its availability will be dependent on individual carriers.
Once Samsung does release the firmware officially you can be sure we will be bringing the news as we upgrade our own unlocked version of the device.

The Samsung I9295 Galaxy S4 Active has been in our rumor mill for quite some time. The latest leaked shots reveal that the Active will be a tougher dust and water resistant version of the Galaxy S4 flagship.
The specs are expected to be the same and the live pictures below confirm it - the device is running on a quad-core 1.9GHz processor with Adreno 320 GPU, which most definitely means a Snapdragon 600 chipset. The screen supposedly has the same size and resolution as the original Galaxy S4 - a 5.0-inch 1080p unit, though it's unclear if it's a Super AMOLED one or not. Strangely enough, the reported pixel density of the phone is 480ppi, so the display might actually be smaller.
Our tipster also confirmed to us that the Samsung Galaxy S4 Active has an 8MP rear camera, which is a downgrade from the 13MP sensor of the Galaxy S4.



Despite the similar specs, the Galaxy S4 Active looks nothing like the original. It comes in a metallic shell with bolts on the back, and there are also three hardware buttons below the screen.
There is no official info on the Galaxy S4 Active yet, but as it turns out the handset has been showcased recently in Croatia, so an announcement is imminent.

The above YouTube video shows an iPhone 6 mockup that, when set on a flat surface, can project a Mac keyboard from one side and a Mac desktop from the other.
The video, created by YouTube user Sonitdac, shows a rendered "iPhone 6" that looks sim,ilar to an iPhone 5. The top and bottom ends of the iPhone are shown snapping off to create a stand for a small degree of elevation.
The iPhone rendering then projected a keyboard and trackpad onto the desk in front of the phone, and a functional Mac cinema display onto the wall.
While the rendering is clearly a pipe dream created by a clever animator, it's an interesting — though completely unlikely — concept video.
As for the real next iPhone, Apple isn't expected to make an announcement on that for some time, though it could come at next month's World Wide Developer's Conference, which will have its keynote June 10

Samsung confirmed the Galaxy S4 mini, Galaxy Active and also a new device the Galaxy S4 Mega. We are not sure if this is typo by Samsung, but for us the device is new. We do know Samsung will bring their own Galaxy Mega line out soon, but we didn’t hear anything about the Galaxy S4 Mega. We will keep a close eye on that.

The Samsung Galaxy Note 3 will debut at IFA 2013 trade fair in Berlin in September, according to unnamed officials at Samsung quoted in the Korea Times.
Those same officials say the eagerly anticipated smartphone/tablet hybrid will have a 5.9-inch screen, about an inch smaller than previous rumors suggest.
In addition, Samsung co-CEO Shin Jong-kyun seemed skeptical when asked whether the Note 3 will have a flexible plastic display. "More time will be needed," he said, suggesting that either the technology won't be ready before the fall or Samsung won't have time to produce enough displays for the launch of such a popular device."The Suwon, Gyeonggi Province-based outfit is developing the Note3 with a 5.9-inch OLED display. The device will debut at this year's IFA trade fair in Berlin, Germany, officials said," writes theKorea Times.
Still, Shin didn't rule out a flexible screen, so it's still possible. Recent rumors say the Note 3 will look much like a larger version of the Galaxy S4, which itself is not a radical departure from the design themes of the Galaxy S3 and the Note 2.
Over the last year, Samsung's design choices have been relatively cautious. While each new device has made technical improvements upon previous models, the advances have been small on the whole, with Samsung relying mostly on marketing muscle to push products off the shelves.
The Galaxy Note 3 is still a long way off and won't be released until later this year. But rumors indicate it will have a 5.9-inch or 6-inch Super AMOLED display with an eight-core Exynos 5 Octa processor, an eight-core Mali 450 graphics processing unit, 3GB of RAM, a 13-megapixel camera, a bigger battery and run Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean.
